Blurb is one of the more economical photo book companies, even with upgraded paper. It may not be as evident when you look at just the typical base price for a 20 page book. Blurb’s fee for additional pages tends to be a lot less than with other companies. With your prize you can choose from any of Blurb’s book products and numerous paper options. Books start at 20 pages and can go all the way up to a whopping 440 pages (only 240 pages max for upgraded papers). Both page counts are well above most photo companies which max out at 100 pages. For that reason, Blurb is often a top choice for projects with high page counts such as 365 day projects or or project life photo books.

I also chose Blurb for some of my wedding photo books which I made for my parents, brother and other family of our professional wedding photos – shown below. The colors really reproduced well and true to color. I also liked the 7 x 7 size, not too big and not too small. My mom enjoyed carrying hers around in her purse to show off to her friends.

Blurb’s photo books remind of me most of the books I see at my local bookstore. It just has that bookstore look and feel versus say other photo books printed on photo paper or thicker stock. I think that may be one reason why so many pros print books with Blurb. For pros, Blurb supports of a lot of photographer friendly tools such as Adobe Lightroom. Also, Blurb’s Bookstore makes it easy to sell your books online. I enjoy perusing the books in the Bookstore to get layout ideas and inspiration for my projects.

Blurb is not only pro-centric. There are also some instant book making tools which can slurp your Facebook or Instagram feeds and lay out a book for you. Click on the links to check mine out!
