We just took down our Christmas tree and our holiday decorations this past week. I know it’s probably a bit on the later side, but Photo Book Baby really enjoyed his first tree and he was still asking us to light it up every day. Just last night while I was making dinner, he asked his father to pick him up and walk him over to one of the upper kitchen cabinets. He said, “What’s in my stocking?” I was shocked to realize that he knew exactly where I had stashed away his Christmas stocking. He looked inside it wondering why there was nothing in it. I had told him that Santa had taken his stocking back to fill it up for next year but he wasn’t fooled. Great, my two-year-old caught me in a lie!
In addition to packing the tree and stockings away, I took down all the lovely holiday cards we had received from friends and family. All those smiling faces – I really enjoyed having them up on shelves in the living room.
Photo cards don’t have to be limited to the holidays however. Did you know that you can print as little as one card? Since discovering that, I have often made single cards or small sets of 10 cards, especially when there are sales on (and those happen pretty frequently – check out the photo deals here). Just today I made Chinese New Year cards with Tiny Prints. I’ve never done Chinese New Year cards before – it isn’t that typical to see designs for this holiday, but for the past couple years I have seen more and more companies do them. I happened to have a $20 credit and I thought it would be fun to get something different. It’s hard for me to resist putting Photo Book Baby’s cute face on stuff and the grandparents will love it.
I’ve updated the Cards section of my site with new designs for all types of holidays and events throughout the year as well as a handy dandy price comparison for sites that print one-off cards. There’s lots of cute Valentine designs and Mother’s Day will be here before you know it! Be sure to check it out!
